What is the 'Code of Conduct' for Today in Tech Community?

When interacting with the Today in Tech community, either online or in person, we ask that you follow these guidelines to ensure that everyone has the best possible experience.

Be Inclusive - we welcome and support people of all backgrounds and identities. Everyone should feel welcomed and encouraged to join the community both online and at meetups. This includes, but is not limited to members of any sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, race, ethnicity, culture, national origin, social and economic class, educational level, color, immigration status, sex, age, size, family status, political belief, religion, and mental and physical ability.

Be Respectful - Disagreements and differences of opinion will come up, but they are not an excuse to be disrespectful to others or their beliefs. All members of the community should feel respected and safe.

Be Considerate - Be kind to others. Do not insult or put down others. Harassment and exclusionary behavior aren't acceptable. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Threats of violence
  • Discriminatory jokes and language.
  • Sexually explicit or violent language.
  • Personal insults, racist or sexist language.
  • Sexual harassment.
  • Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior.

Failure to meet these guidelines could result in your removal from the Today in Tech community.
