How do I export existing applicants to a newly setup ATS?

When setting up a new ATS you may have existing applicants for your current job postings.

To Export Existing Candidates when connecting your ATS

If your existing AngelList jobs have applicants in the queue, you can select the option below to make sure that any existing applicants (that have not expired) will get sent directly to their corresponding roles in your ATS.

If you did not select this option while setting up your integration, you can always do so once your integration is set up.

To retroactively export candidates to your ATS :

You can export existing candidates for each job on a job by job basis on your Listings Dashboard as show below.

1. Sign into your account.

2. Click on Jobs  from the top tool bar.

3. Find the job and Click on the more menu '...' button.

4. Select Export candidates to ATS. This will perform a one-time export of the candidates in their pipeline to your ATS. This includes both applicants and matches. Matches are when where both you and the candidate has expressed mutual interest in connecting.

Which candidates get sent to the ATS and where do they get sent?

When performing a retroactive export, a few different types of candidates get sent to your ATS for that job:

  • All live and pending (non-expired*) applicants for jobs synced with the ATS
    • *applicants expire two weeks after applying if no action has been taken on their application
    • These candidates will get sent as applicants to the first stage of application review in your ATS
  • All inbound matches that have applied to an ATS synced job
    • These candidates will get sent as applicants to the first stage of application review in your ATS
  • All outbound matches (candidates that you have sourced and they have accepted your request)
    • Note: unless attached to a specific job, these matches will be sent as prospects/leads
