How are salary estimates on job postings calculated?

Salary estimates are generated using data from thousands of U.S. employers and third-party sources. 

To compute these estimates, we look at the job title, location, and seniority of salaries employers recently listed for similar roles on Wellfound. In some instances, we use additional public and private data to help us calculate estimates.

Please keep in mind that these Wellfound estimates are estimates. They do not represent guarantees of actual salaries and are not necessarily endorsed by the employers. 

The purpose of Wellfound estimates is to provide job seekers with market rates to make more informed decisions and help employers hire qualified candidates with the right expectations. As such, Wellfound does not guarantee the accuracy of these estimates. 

The employer will determine actual compensation for the role based on your experience, among other factors.
