How do I edit my job profile?

Job Profile 

A Job Profile is used for companies to view while recruiting using our candidate search or reviewing applications to job posts. A Job Profile will present your work history and other details to active recruiters. 

It is vital to fill out your profile rather than relying on linked social media links. This allows your profile to interact with our recruiting software, allowing companies to find you or discover the best applicants from their lists. 

To edit and preview your jobs profile: 

1. Sign in to your account

2. Click on your avatar in the top right corner. 

3. Click on Edit Profile or click here. 

4. From the top toolbar, click on  Overview to preview what recruiters will see. 

5. From the editing area, you should go through the steps to fill out your profile using the subheaders: Profile, Resume, Preferences, and Culture

  • Primary Role - the role you want to have in your next position
  • Open to Following Roles - the roles you have experience in 
  • Social Profile links 
  • Work Experience 
  • Skills - make sure to emphasize the skills you currently want to work in that you have experience with
  • Achievements
  • Identity - optional

Please note that while a resume is essential, it is far more helpful to add your most relevant experience directly to the profile so that it is searchable in our system. 

We advise only including contact information that you want to be public on the resume. Remember that recruiters can reach out to you directly from Wellfound, and you can always share additional details in conversation.

We highly encourage filling this out, as showing you are a good fit can make a difference in whether you hear from a recruiter.
